Lunch and Learn: LG diagnostic monitors and digital X-ray detectors at Westmead Hospital

Trucell and LG Medical hosted a Lunch and Learn at Westmead Hospital for public and children’s hospital staff—covering LG diagnostic displays, digital X-ray detectors, and the NSW SOA pathway for diagnostic displays.

Trucell works with healthcare teams to bring display and imaging technology that supports clinical workflows and confident reading. Together with LG Medical, we recently ran a Lunch and Learn at Westmead Hospital, welcoming professionals from Westmead Public Hospital and the Children’s Hospital to explore current options in medical imaging.

The session was supported by Trucell’s NSW SOA agreement for diagnostic displays.

LG diagnostic monitors

We walked through LG’s diagnostic monitor range built for medical imaging.

What these displays emphasise:

  • Image quality: High resolution with consistent greyscale and colour performance, so subtle findings remain visible.
  • Reliability: Designed for long run times in busy clinical areas, with less unplanned interruption.
  • Workflow fit: DICOM-aware behaviour, automatic brightness behaviour, and multi-modality use to keep radiology workflows moving.

Hands-on demos gave radiologists and staff a feel for how the panels perform in practice.

Digital X-ray detector plates

We also covered LG’s digital X-ray detector line as a practical option for imaging departments.

Highlights:

  • Durability: Reduced disruption when plates are dropped or knocked in hectic environments.
  • Image quality: High-resolution acquisition with strong clarity for routine work.
  • Cost posture: Can lower repeat replacement cycles compared with more fragile alternatives and help departments stay on schedule when equipment is stressed.

Having a credible detector strategy matters when plates are damaged unexpectedly—it keeps throughput steadier and avoids costly downtime.

Partnership and access

Events like this reflect how Trucell and LG Medical combine: advanced displays and detectors, backed by procurement routes that suit public-sector buyers.
